Applied Materials Inc. and Advanced Micro-Fabrication Equipment Inc. (AMEC) jointly announced that they have settled all litigation between the two companies. Among the legal issues, was a dispute over the ownership of certain patent families filed by AMEC, headquartered in Shanghai, China.

According to AMEC, “the parties agreed that those patent families will be jointly owned. AMEC also made a payment to [Santa Clara, Calif.-based] Applied Materials of an undisclosed amount, and in light of that, the parties agreed to collaborate on projects in the future.”
